Shy to Confident Spell

I designed this spell especially for those with shyness who find it hard to talk to people. This spell will help those who feel nervous when coming into social interaction.

Shy to Confident Spell

You will need:

1 White Candle

1 Orange Candle,

1 Violet Candle,

Carnation Flower,

Jasmine Oil.

Firstly light the white candle and let your mind wander to a time when you felt really shy or nervous. Let the scenario play out in your head remember particular moments when you felt especially nervous or tense. Think about how you felt did you have a swirling feeling in your belly. Where you clenching your fists? Now let all that nervousness flow into the candle, let it burn it up and get rid of it for you. When you feel the nervousness leave you snuff the candle.(Do not use this again, bury it outside)

Drop Jasmine oil onto your wrist and rub it in gently, breathe in its scent and think about how you would like to feel. Chatting with friends happily, freely talking about things you couldn't mention before.

Now light the Orange candle and say these words:

Buzzing orange bright and light,

Here my plea tonight,

Lend me some of your confidence,

So i can sing, laugh, play and dance,

Let my soul be solid yet free,

And by my will, So Mote it Be!

(to help call this energy you should show you are willing to change your quiet nature by shouting 'So Mote it Be')

Next light the Violet Candle:

Powerful violet strong and sure,

I beg of you please to lure,

Self love, happiness and bliss to me,

And with that wish, So Mote it Be.

Let the candles burn until you feel ready to blow them out. You should keep the carnation flower under your pillow and sprinkle a drop of Jasmine oil on your pillow for a week before a full moon, this will bring your wish to fruition.

Tip: Using a violet candle in your spells makes the spell stronger as it is the colour for added power, only use it if you really need it though.

Self Image Confidence Spell

If you've ever felt a little low in your self and felt like you needed a boost. This spell will help you get rid of self image lows and accept yourself.

Self Image Confidence Spell

You will need:

1 White Candle,

1 Orange candle,

1 Pink candle,

1 Piece of Paper,

1 Pen,

1 Pink Ribbon,

1 Charcoal Disk or Old Plate.

First take the piece of paper and write everything you do not like about your image, be brave and put as many details down as possible. Recite these to yourself. Think about them. Then light the white candle.

Whilst the white candle is burning keep thinking about everything you do not like and slowly roll the paper up. Let your thoughts get faster and more repetitive (this may be hard but it is worth it)

Tie the pink ribbon around the paper and stop all your negative thoughts.

Saying these words set fire to the end of the roll of paper and set it on the disc/plate:

Be gone bad thoughts untrue,

Let me be untied from you,

I am free,

I am me,

By the power of fire,

So Mote it Be.

Watch the paper burning and let your negative thoughts about your body burn away on the fire.

As soon as the paper is burned, blow the white candle out. (Do not use this candle again, bury it with the ashes of the paper)

Light the Orange candle saying this:

Fill my heart with content,

Let love to me be sent,

Let confidence rise within me,

And by my will, so mote it be.

Watch the orange candle burning, think about how its colour is so bright, and warm and eye catching. Let the colour sink into you and fill your body.

Light the Pink Candle and repeat:

Fill my heart with content,

Let love to me be sent,

Let confidence rise within me,

And by my will, so mote it be.

As you're watching the pink candle, think about its loving, gentle energy. Let its rays slowly pulse into you.

Leave the candles to burn as long as you feel you need them. Snuff them when you feel ready.

Tip: Orange is the colour of confidence use this in spells to draw confidence. Pink is the colour of self love and romance.

I Ching - Fortune Telling

The I Ching method is particularly interesting. It can be quite confusing at first and seem like a long process, but it is a lovely way of telling fortunes. You throw coins to create Hexagrams (pictured on the right) Each Hexagram has an answer.

The Method

To ask the I Ching a question, you need three coins. (These can be the Chinese I Ching coins or 1 pence coins) If you are using the the original I Ching coins you need to decide which side is heads and which is tails.

You throw the three coins six times while asking your question and add up the value of the coins and then depending on whether the total is odd or even depends on whether you draw a straight line.

Heads = 2

Tails = 3

Even Number = Broken Line

Odd Number = Solid line

After your first throw start your Hexagram from the bottom (6 lines down) then keep throwing until you have completed your Hexagram.

Once you have your Hexagram look for which one it is in a book of I Ching then you will have your answer.

Hope this method made sense i got confused myself a little just writing it!

Oracle Cards - Fortune Telling

Out of all the methods this is the one I use most. It is one of my favourites and I love the cards messages. If you find Tarot slightly difficult to understand you will probably find Oracle cards easier. The main message is printed on the card and there is a more detailed message in the book inside. You can choose which type of cards you want to use. There are many different ones such as Archangels, Angels and Goddesses. This is good for people who like to connect with different deities etc. Me and the people that i know that use the cards tend not to let other people use them, if you want good answers for yourself then keep the pack personal to you. Let only your energy on them. Another good thing to do is keep your cards in a special box some place they wont be disturbed or spilled. I keep mine on my altar. If you want to give readings to other people with the cards i would suggest having another pack of these cards for that purpose. Cleanse them with white light after each reading and gently knock the pile of cards three times to get rid of any energy left behind.

The Method

Take the pack of cards between your hands and shuffle them gently with your eyes closed. Ask the Archangel's (or whoever the cards are on) to answer your question.

Keep shuffling and ask your question.

You may hear a voice telling you to stop, feel tingling or warmth in your hands or feel your hands just stop. Take the three cards from the top of the deck.

The first card will be referring to your past and what you have to reach your second card the present, this seconds card will be showing you what is going on right now and then the third card will show the future, what is going to happen.

You can also just take one card if you like from the top for certain questions that you feel don't need the past, present and future.

There are other different layouts for the cards in the book you get with your oracle cards these can be used for certain situations or certain questions.

Crystal Ball (Crystalomancy) - Fortune Telling

Looking into a crystal ball and telling the future is probably one of the most conjured images when telling the future. Unfortunately I have never had much luck with my crystal ball, but there are different methods suited to different people. So try and see which method works for you. This method one of the most mystical and is often associated with psychics. You are meant to receive answers by visualizations that appear within the crystal. These may be colours, and image or even a symbol. To understand the answers I would recommend buying a kit (The one pictured is the one I have)

The Method

Some people in preparation to reading the crystal ball like to meditate or call on a special deity to help them receive answers to their questions. Others just empty there minds of irrelevant thoughts. If you're not familiar with meditating or deities then it would be easier to focus your attention on emptying your mind first.

When you have done this, let your eyes rest on the crystal. Make sure the crystal is on a blank surface on its stand, though some people do like to hold the ball whilst they read it as it gives the ball their energy.

Focus your entire attention on the ball. Don't let errant thoughts creep into your mind, it will sound easy but you will be surprised by how actively the mind thinks without us realising. You may need to practice emptying your mind a few times before doing this, if you find this particularly hard.

Once you have kept your focus on the crystal ball for a minute or two ask your question.

Answers may appear to different people in different ways, a colour for instance may seem to 'wash' over the ball or it may appear to like a milky density swirling inside the ball. Images may appear hovering on the inside of the ball or maybe they will move. It is different for everyone, just try not to let your mind be distracted by what is happening. Just accept whatever vision comes to you.

Having a book on this will help you immensely as answers may not always be clear.

Chinese Fortune Sticks - Fortune Telling

This is the most recent method of fortune telling I have come across, and I think one of the most detailed. For this you will need to buy the fortune sticks and the book explaining the answer to each stick ( the one in the picture is the one I have)

This is an ancient Chinese way of telling fortune, on each stick there is a number. You find the number of the stick in the book and there will be quite a detailed answer.

The Method

It is good to take a few moments to clear your head, do this however you need. By breathing deeply or simply sitting quietly for a few minutes. You need to know two things. Whether you already know the answer to the question you are about to ask and what you want the answer to be. You have to really try and dismiss the desired outcome you want because it could affect the fortunes telling. You have to be able to accept the answer the sticks give you whether it is the answer you wanted or not.

After preparing your head take the shaker (the container holding the sticks) in both your hands. Angle it so it is facing around ninety degrees upwards. (If you get the kit pictured there is a diagram in the book showing you how to do this)

Begin to shake the container while asking your question, then slowly,whilst shaking, turn the container upright so only a few of the sticks are poking out.

Take the stick that is poking out the furthest, this is your answer.

Using a Pendulum (Dowsing) - Fortune Telling

Pendulums are a lovely little tool to have around. They are very simple to use and easy to know what answers are being given. The only downside with a pendulum is you have to ask questions that can be answered with a 'Yes' or 'No' answer.

The Method

Holding the method between your thumb and finger keep your hand still and ask the pendulum to show you 'Yes'. When you have asked this the pendulum should either swing one way, or spin either counter-clockwise or clockwise. Then ask the pendulum to show you 'No' The pendulum should swing or spin in the opposite direction to yes.

Once you know which way is 'Yes' and which way is 'No' you can ask your question.

Keep your brain clear and calm and try not to think of the outcome you want from your question (some people unknowingly move there hand to get the outcome they want if they are thinking about the answer being 'Yes' or 'No'.)

Concentrate on the point of the pendulum and ask your question in a clear voice either out loud or in your head. If this is your first try you may have to ask three times, as trying to only think about your question can be hard at first.

Once your pendulum has answered you can ask twice more to check that you haven't accidentally moved the pendulum whilst holding it.

Try not to ask more than three times even if it isn't an answer you like, accept what you have been told.

Remember that what you have been told may not be right, the future changes and if your not used to using a pendulum excitable or nervous energy may affect your answer.

Which is why it is important to keep a clear head.

If you find you ask the same question but the pendulum keeps changing the answer try cleansing your pendulum, by picturing white light running through it.

If it was sold to you in a shop its likely that other people have tried the pendulum out and left different energy on it.

Fortune Telling Techniques

Everybody wants to know there future. Asking questions like, how is your day going to be? Am i going to get that job?

There are many different ways of fortune telling; scrying, tarot and the I Ching are just a few.

In my next few posts I will be explaining some of the techniques that I've used before.

If you've never told a fortune before or tried asking a question using a fortune telling tool, do not fear i will post simple ways of using these different methods.

For most witches familiar with fortune telling I'm sure most will know the methods, please feel free to leave a comment on anything you do differently or any different ways you tell fortunes that i havn't mentioned here.

Creating your own Cleansing Spell

In this section I will show you some of the things most commonly used in Cleansing Spells to allow you to create your own spell, as a spell created by you is the strongest kind.

Firstly cleansing can come into everyday life in very simple ways. Things such as burning oils or even sprinkling a certain type of oil into your carpet or mixing an oil into water to mop wood or tiles. This is just one example there are many other things used to such as herbs, incense and candles. Once you know what some of these different things can do, you can use them within your Cleansing Spell to make your spell more personal.

Oils For Cleansing

Chamomile - For inner peace

Clary Sage (a particular favourite of mine) - balances mind and emotions

Eucalyptus - Clears negativity

Majoram - Calms agitated mind

Vetiver - Aids stillness (The oil of tranquillity)

Herbs For Cleansing

Calamus Root - Protection in travel, home/family and money.

Chamomile - Relaxation against stress (this is also great for child birth, aches and healing wounds - Chamomile is very versatile)

Elderflowers - Sending back evil energies, banishing negativity (this is used sometimes for exorcism)

Lavender - Purifying (May make you feel drowsy , is used a lot in sleep spells)

Lemon Verbena - Aura cleansing

Penny Royal - Home happiness

Candle Colours for Cleansing

White (known as the cleansing candle) - Purification, peace and spirituality

Brown - Solves problems, especially at home. Also can protect pets.

Green - To bring healing, luck and/or prosperity to the home

Making your own chant is a good way to also strengthen your spell, talk about banishing negativity and allowing love and light to enter your home. Many end their spells with either 'So Mote it Be' or 'Blessed Be'

It is your decision how you work your spells and you should do what you feel most comfortable with.

Cleansing Spells Information

Cleansing Spells have been used for thousands of years to make a living space cosy and free from bad energy. There are so many different variations of these spells to help make a place feel safe. I hope you have looked through the spells I have offered so far for cleansing as they really will benefit your life, giving you peace in your home and helping you have a smoother flow to things.

These spells are designed to clear away any negative energy which could be left over from a row, a grouchy person or just a general feeling of depression within the home. The results are always good with any type of this spell, most allow love and light to flow freely in your home.

Using cleansing spells in your children's rooms especially toddlers and teenagers can help to stop tantrums and make a peaceful place for your child to escape, also using them in studies and offices can be really beneficial to help with a tired, agitated mind.

These spells are quite simple to do and should be the first spell performed by a witch some think to help him/her to have a 'clean' space to work in.

Broom Cleansing Spell

I've read about this spell a couple of times and thought I would share it on here.I have not actaully used this spell as i do not have a magick broom, so i have searched and took elements of the different variations of the spell to try and create a strong broom spell ( I will leave links to what i used underneath. This spell is probably the best for those who find it hard to visualize/imagine. As you are actually doing the action, therefore you do not have to imagine it. The important thing is that this broom is a magick broom not an everyday broom which means it used for spell not general cleaning.

The Broom Cleansing Spell

You will need:

A broom.

Firstly take your broom you can say these words if you like to help the broom cleanse:

Witches broom swift in flight,

Cast out darkness, and bring in light,

Earth be hallow, air be clear,

Fire bright, as water heals,

A sacred bridge this site shall be,

As my will, so mote it be.

Make sure you sweep thoroughly around the whole space making sure you get into crooks and crannies.

Some people do not say a chant for this but most say something along the lines of Sweep, Sweep, Sweep Away, All unwanted Energy!

Sweep the ceiling to using your broom as a duster, negative energy does not just lay on the floor.

Nag Champa Figure of 8 Cleansing Spell

A psychic first informed me of this spell i tried it and have used it time and time again. This spell is especially great if you have just moved into a new house or space and would like to clear stagnant energy left behind by the original owners. It is also good if you feel like you keep attracting bad energy, it will clear and leave your space feeling safe and calm.

Nag Champa Figure of 8 Cleansing Spell

You will need:

Nag Champa Incense

& Quiet!

First light the incense in the doorway of your space drawing a figure of 8 three times whilst saying the spell: By the power of three, Clear away negative energy, So Mote it Be.

(You can change the words to personalize and make the spell stronger, also some like to make this longer and include love and light into their spells)

Next go to the first corner of your space, going counter clockwise, and repeat the step again.

Do all corners of your space then finish in the middle repeating the step again.

Let the incense burn down then bury the ashes or let them wash down a stream. For more information on how to get rid of ashes or candles used for Cleansing Spells read my post about this.

Low Equipment Cleansing Spell

This is an excellent spell for witches just starting out and without much equipment it can also be good for those who have run out of they need for their usual cleansing spell.

Low Equipment Spell

You will need:

1 White Candle/Tea Light Candle

& Good Visualization!

First begin by lighting the candle and placing it on your altar or a significant place in the room that needs cleansing.

Picture the candle burning up all the negative energy in the room, if you like you can imagine it being absorbed into the white candle and burning into white light.

Next say these words: By the power of three, please clear unwanted energy, from this place, from this space, be gone without a trace, so by the power of three, So Mote it Be.

The spell will be stronger if you make the words by yourself, you could also call on an angel, god/goddess or the five elements, if you felt the cleansing needed to be stronger or just as protection whilst the energy is being cleared.
